Built for the 757’s military community

Off base. Out of uniform. In good company.

Hampton Roads is home to one of the largest military communities in the country, and our room shows it. Sailors, Marines, soldiers, airmen, Coast Guardsmen, veterans, reservists, military spouses and DoD civilians all come to our socials and member meetings.

If you’re registered to vote back home, join as an Associate member. If you vote in Virginia and you’re 18–40, you qualify for Active membership.

FAQ

Military questions

Can active-duty service members join?

Yes. Under DoD rules, active-duty members may join a partisan political club and attend its meetings when not in uniform. They may not serve in an official capacity with the club, such as an officer role, or be listed as a sponsor.

I’m registered to vote in another state. Which membership is for me?

Associate membership ($35/yr). It gets you member pricing on events and socials and committee participation (non-voting).

Can veterans and military spouses join?

Absolutely. Veterans and spouses who vote in Virginia and are 18–40 can be Active members ($15/yr). Everyone else can join as Associate or Alumni.

Which bases are your members from?

Our community includes people from Naval Station Norfolk, NAS Oceana, JEB Little Creek–Fort Story, Dam Neck, Norfolk Naval Shipyard and beyond.

How do I vote absentee?

If you’re registered in Virginia, request an absentee ballot through the Virginia Department of Elections. If you vote in another state, use your home state’s absentee process or the Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP.gov).
