Hampton Roads is home to one of the largest military communities in the country. Whether you just PCS’d to Norfolk or you’ve been at Oceana for years, CoVA YRs is the fastest way to meet people off base, build a network outside the service and plug into the community.

Good questions
Who can join the Coastal Virginia Young Republicans?
Anyone who supports the Republican Party can get involved. Active membership is for registered Virginia voters ages 18–40 who live, work or go to school in Virginia Beach or Norfolk. Associate membership is for people registered in another state, such as military members and students, and Alumni membership is for those 41 and up.
Do I have to be a member to come to an event?
No. Guests are always welcome at our socials and member meetings. RSVP free, bring a friend, and join when you’re ready.
I’m in the military and just got stationed in Norfolk or Virginia Beach. Can I join?
Yes. If you’re registered to vote in another state you can join as an Associate Member. Active-duty service members may join and attend meetings out of uniform under DoD rules.
How much are dues?
$15 a year for Active members (ages 18–40 in Virginia Beach or Norfolk), $35 a year for Associate members, and $50 a year for Alumni members (41+). Pay online, or in person at any event.
How much are event tickets?
Member meetings are free for members. Socials and parties are ticketed, and prices depend on the experience. Non‑member tickets typically run $35–$250, and members get member pricing.
What kind of events do you host?
Monthly member meetings and socials with featured speakers, networking mixers, signature parties and community and volunteer events across Virginia Beach and Norfolk.
Does the club donate to candidates?
No. We don’t write checks to candidates. We help the right ones win through volunteering, voter outreach and turning out our network. Contributions fund the events, venues and member growth that make that possible.
